Although both services are utilising light rays, they are different in the band width of light they emit. For Red light therapy it uses more narrow bandwidth 620-700nm compared with IR sauna that uses near IR 700-1000nm and far IR 3000+. The difference between these light wave length is the tissues that they target, with the more narrow of the red light therapy targeting the more superficial tissues including the skin.
